LP : SUMMER sippin' for FALL

Summer may be close to over however over the past Holiday weekend looming why not partake in a fresh summer treat?!  I don’t like Gin at allllll. It’s so harsh on my palette. However, Pintrest saves the day once again!

Here is a recipe for a non-offensive tasting cocktail that is just in time for end of summer and drinking in public with your friends. I tried it out last week night, and I must say I added more sugar and strawberries than the recipe asked for (so I suggest you do too, or use simple syrup).

See recipe below!

1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 lime wedge
3 fresh strawberries, 2 hulled and sliced and 1 reserved for garnish
3 ounces gin
Club soda
Fresh mint sprig, to garnish

In a tall glass, combine the sugar and a squeeze of juice from the lime wedge. Muddle with the back of a spoon to dissolve the sugar.

Add the sliced strawberries and lightly muddle.

Fill the glass with ice and add the gin. Top with a splash of club soda and garnish with the last strawberry and a sprig of mint.

Remember to drink responsibly! Turn up!
