One of the items I use in my routine twice a week are Sheet Masks. If you are not familiar with what that is. A sheet mask is usually made of super thin cotton that is saturated in a serum. They were organically super popular in Asia and then migrated over to the US where business is now boomin'. You can find sheet masks for all different kinds of skin goals. Moisturizing, Brightening, Soothing, Pores, the list literally goes on.
What I like to do when using a sheet mask is cleanse and tone my face, apply a serum: Right now I have been using a Hyaluronic & Ferulic serum which is anti-aging and hydrating. I learned by doing the pre-serum the mask helps your skin absorb it better since it is create a barrier. Then I apply the sheet mask for 20 mins (maybe 30 if I’m feeling the spirit). After you are done with the mask I rub in the excess serum from the mask, apply an eye cream and keep it moving. I usually do these at night before I go to bed so I don’t have to apply sun screen and it allows for the treatment to sink in my skin uninterrupted.
I have combination skin so after including this in my routine. I have totally seen a difference in the balance of moisture vs dryness vs oiliness that I usually experience.
